At Andover Food Partnership, we work alongside a network of dedicated Food Support Providers who play a vital role in supporting our community. One of those valued partners is Garden for Mind, and we’re proud to highlight their exciting and ambitious project.

About Garden for Mind

Garden for Mind is one of our Food Support Providers, offering more than just access to food. Their work focuses on creating opportunities for people to improve their wellbeing, build confidence, and connect with others through shared experiences.

Their latest project aims to take this even further.

The Garden for Mind Project

Garden for Mind is developing a dedicated space designed to support mental health and wellbeing through nature. The vision is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where people can feel safe, learn new skills, and be part of a supportive community.

This space will provide long-term benefits for those accessing food support, helping to address not just immediate needs but the wider challenges that impact wellbeing.

Fundraising Progress So Far

This is a large and ambitious project, requiring significant resources and funding. Since launching their fundraising campaign in September, Garden for Mind has made excellent progress thanks to the generosity of supporters:

  • A major £25,000 donation from Simply health

  • Additional contributions from Stannah Lifts, Co-operative Group, and KOcycle

  • A micro-grant from Natural England

They have also been working with consultants, contractors, and suppliers who have offered their expertise and services to help bring the project closer to reality.

How You Can Help

However, as with any project of this scale, further funding and resources are still needed. Garden for Mind is continuing to seek support from local businesses, organisations, and individuals. Contributions of any size, whether financial donations, materials, or professional services, will make a real difference in helping bring this space to life.

By supporting this ongoing fundraising effort, you can help ensure this important community resource is completed and continues to support the wellbeing of people across Andover.
