A Small Donation Can Make a Big Difference This Harvest
As Harvest Festival approaches, the Andover Food Partnership would like to encourage our community to support one of our valued members and Food Support Providers, Andover Foodbank, as they launch their annual Harvest Appeal.
The Foodbank plays a vital role in supporting local people facing financial hardship. So far this year, the charity has helped 4,700 people across our community, providing more than 40,000 meals and essential items to individuals and families in need. Also Andover Foodbank would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated food and essentials last week, as well as the many Harvest donations that have already started to arrive. Every donation makes a real difference and helps ensure local people can access the support they need.
How You Can Help
If you are able to pick up an extra item or two during your weekly shop, the Foodbank is currently asking for donations from its Harvest Appeal shopping list, including:
Biscuits and chocolate
Breakfast cereal
Long-life milk
Pasta sauce
Rice pudding or custard
Rice (500g)
Tinned meat meals
Tinned or instant potatoes
Tinned soup
Tinned fruit and vegetables
The Foodbank has also highlighted a particular need for tinned vegetarian meals, which are always in demand.
Donate Online
If you are unable to visit the shops, you can still support the appeal by purchasing items online through Give Today. Donations are delivered directly to the Foodbank's warehouse, making it an easy and convenient way to help.
Every Donation Counts
Harvest Festival is a time to reflect on the abundance we have and share with those who may be struggling. Whether you can donate a few food items, make a financial contribution, or help spread the word, your support helps Andover Foodbank continue its essential work throughout the year.
The Andover Food Partnership is proud to work alongside Andover Foodbank as part of our network of local Food Support Providers. Together, we can help ensure that everyone in our community has access to the food and support they need.
