Discover Food Labs

No specialist food or nutrition knowledge is needed just an interest in helping children build confidence and curiosity around food.

Food Labs is a free set of ready to use resources designed to help professionals and organisations run playful, inclusive food exploration sessions in their own settings.

Using curiosity, sensory exploration and “food scientist” activities, Food Labs helps children and families explore food in ways that feel safe, supportive and pressure-free.

In a Discover Food Labs session, you will:

  • Explore the Food Labs resources and session structure

  • Gain ideas for creating inclusive, low-pressure food experiences

  • Learn how sessions can be adapted for different ages, needs, and settings

  • Have opportunities to ask questions and share ideas with others

  • Leave with the confidence to begin running your own Food Labs sessions

No specialist food or nutrition knowledge is needed, just an interest in helping children build confidence and curiosity around food.
