Andover Food Partnership
Supporting our community to flourish!
Andover Food Partnership is a network of organisations working towards a fairer, healthier and more sustainable food system for Andover. We are working together to make accessing healthy nutritious food available for all.
The AFP puts sustainability and localism at the heart of its approach, connecting the dots between Community, Food, Sustainability and Location.
Sustainable Food Places
We are a member of the Sustainable Food Places network, a national programme that supports collaboration to create healthier, more sustainable and resilient local food systems. Through this membership, access is gained to a wide range of resources, tools and best-practice guidance that help strengthen the development and impact of local food partnerships.
Sustainable Food Places brings together partnerships from across the UK, including local authorities, businesses, community organisations and producers, working collectively to address key food system challenges such as food poverty, public health, climate change and sustainable farming. The network promotes a joined-up, systems-based approach, enabling places to develop shared strategies and deliver coordinated action for long-term change.
The programme is led by three national organisations; the Soil Association, Food Matters and Sustain. This is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund. Together, they provide strategic leadership, practical support and opportunities for knowledge-sharing across a growing UK wide network.
Being part of Sustainable Food Places continues to enhance the partnership’s work by connecting it with a wider movement focused on making healthy, sustainable food a defining feature of every community. Further information can be found here.
